The short version

This website doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you and doesn't collect anything through forms. The only thing it remembers is whether you chose light or dark mode, and that stays in your own browser.

Who I am

Ferrez Guiding is run by me, Daniel Ferrez, in Cape Town. For anything about your information, WhatsApp me on 072 448 3757.

What this website stores

If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser saves that choice (under the name “dfg-theme”) so the site looks the same next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.

There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels.

When you send me a message

The “Write your message” tool builds the text inside your browser. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it, and then it goes through your own WhatsApp or Instagram account, under that service's privacy terms. This website never sees or keeps it.

When I receive your message, I use your details only to reply and to arrange your hike: the route, date, meeting point, payment link and indemnity form. I don't sell your details or share them for marketing.

The company that hosts this site

Like any website, the hosting company may keep short-lived technical records, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can ask me what information I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. WhatsApp me and I'll help. If you're unhappy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
